Writing Consultation

Service Description

Some people feel at home in the lab or in the archives but become an anxious puddle of insecurity when it comes to writing up all that research. If that's you, I can help! Writing consultations are a targeted form of coaching where we look at a section of your manuscript (or a blank page... no judgment) and work together to make it the best it can be. We can talk about big-picture issues (e.g. argument and organisation) or the finer details (e.g. grammar and spelling). Standard academic English isn't anyone's first language, so whether you grew up speaking English or it's your third, fourth or fifth language, I'll break down the mysteries of this particular form of communication so you can make informed choices about how to express your ideas: when to colour inside the lines and when to go rogue!

Cancellation Policy

Individual appointments cancelled with fewer than 48 hours notice will be charged the full session price. In the event of extenuating circumstances, please contact chelsea@uncannyacademic.com to discuss options to reschedule.
